Skin care brands were MEANT for online marketing – we have visual content galore to share. Stand out from other makers by telling YOUR unique story with strategic social media posts!
How Can I Promote My Skin Care Brand?
A large portion of your time as a business owner will be spent driving traffic to your website. While there are many types of online marketing, social media is by far the most popular (and generally speaking, the most affordable!).
In my ten years of experience as a natural skin care maker, Instagram and Pinterest have been the top sources of traffic to both my skin care shop and my blog.
Instagram is a free photo and video sharing app for Androids and iPhones. It is available for the general public to view, comment, and follow other individuals and businesses.
As an entrepreneur, you will want a business account (which is also free). This will allow you to share a link of your choice in the bio, see your account analytics, enable shoppable posts, and more.
To be 100% clear, Pinterest isn’t really social media – some people clump it into the ‘social media’ category because you can follow accounts and chat with other users. In actuality, it is a search engine.
Pinterest is a visual platform that allows you to save information into categorized boards for easy organization and access. This is another free platform for business owners to take advantage of for traffic purposes.
Please note that all of my examples below are from Instagram business accounts because that is what I use. HOWEVER, these same content ideas could be used on any platform that works well for you!
